A Guy With A Scarf
Seventy-nine companies scored against the four things I care about: AI, streaming, sport and live sport. One block per company below, shaded by how hard each leans on AI.
A further twenty companies sit at the end of the table under Out of scope, and they are left out of this strip and out of every figure quoted here, since most of them are facility hardware with no AI story and counting them would flatter the result.
This is a scan, dated and bounded, rather than a directory of streaming vendors. Every record comes from one of three places: a pitch that reached my inbox between June and 8 September 2026, the official IBC directory listing for Hall 5, or research I did on a company I wanted to understand. Ninety-three companies emailed me, five exhibitors who never got in touch are included for comparison, and one is an advisory client of mine.
The selection method is the thing to hold in mind while reading. An inbox is a record of who spent money on public relations, so this sample over-represents vendors with agencies and under-represents everyone else. The official Hall 5 list makes the size of that skew visible: of 162 exhibitors in the hall, 138 never contacted me, and several of those have stronger live-sport deployments than the ones who did. Hall 5 itself is one hall out of more than fourteen, against a show with over 1,300 exhibitors, so roughly nine in ten stands at IBC2026 sit outside this scan entirely.
Two passes are complete across all 79 in-scope records. Each carries a launch classification, and each has been searched for post-show coverage, with 34 yielding an entry and 45 returning nothing findable. Where a record says no launch on the strength of an empty search rather than on evidence of what happened at the stand, that is a weaker call and the searched-and-empty note is there so you can see which ones they are.
The scoring carries its own caveat. Twenty-four records were scored after reading the full message, and forty-one from a subject line, a snippet or a directory blurb. Those are marked and should be read as provisional; two of them have already turned out to be wrong once further evidence arrived. Booth codes carry their source, and any traced back to a 2025 floor plan have been removed.
The plan is to widen this into something closer to a proper vendor database, with a defined universe, a source stack beyond my own inbox and a refresh cadence that survives the current rate of consolidation. That is a different project and it starts from a written definition of what counts as a streaming vendor. Until then this stays what it says on the heading, which is a scan of one show from one vantage point.
Nothing matches that combination. Clear a filter.
